So my goal for 2013 is to create one new craft a week. Okay, maybe one every two weeks. How about one a month?
I saw a mason jar craft on the Joann Fabrics website that I wanted to try. Didn't like it in pink, but I thought it would look great in my house in a pistachio or sage color. Will post a photo as soon as it is completed!

Yesterday I was in my basement and decided to look through some things that had been piled up on the workbench. I don't usually like spending time in the basement -- or "no man's land" as I like to call it. But we had to replace the gas lines in the house in order to get heat. I started thinking about all those old gas valves that we had to replace. At the same time, I was finding old buttons on the workbench (don't ask me how they got there), and found the front of an old drawer. As usual, my mind got to thinking about pulling all of the these old found items together. Today I am going to create a one-of-a-kind wall hanging just for the fun of it. Don't know how it will all come together, but I'm going to have fun figuring it out! The best news of all -- we finally have heat in our house after 11 days of freezing!
